What flat-rate actually means
The whole point of OpenSCORM pricing.
No overage charges
A spike in registrations from a compliance push doesn't change your invoice.
Pay for caps, not usage
Pick a plan that covers your user count and course count. Use it. That's the price.
Annual saves 10%
SCORM Cloud is monthly-only. Annual prepay locks in a year of cost at a discount.
Month-to-month is fine
No annual lock-in. Try Small or Medium for a month at full scale before committing.
Soft tier transitions
Tier caps are widened so a 10% user growth doesn't drop you off a pricing cliff.
Or self-host (free)
AGPL v3. Run it yourself. Hosted is for teams that'd rather not.
Pricing FAQ
If you have a question we haven't answered, just ask.
Is there a free trial?
Better than a trial — there is a free tier with no expiry. Host 1 course for up to 10 learners as long as you want. When you outgrow it, upgrade. Paid plans are month-to-month, so you can also try Small or Medium at full scale for a month.
What happens when I exceed my user or course cap?
We don't bill overages. Instead, we ask you to upgrade to the next tier when you cross a cap. You stay in control of when the bill changes.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes prorate.
How does annual billing work?
Prepay 12 months and save 10%. Mini becomes $27/mo, Starter $54/mo, Small $117/mo, Medium $324/mo, Large $810/mo (billed annually).
What payment methods do you accept?
Major credit cards via Stripe. For Medium and Large, invoiced annual billing is available on request.
Why doesn't the Mini tier include API access or SSO?
Mini is meant to be free or near-free for the smallest teams. API and SSO sit at the tiers where they're actually needed in practice. If you need API on Mini, the Starter tier is $60/mo.
How does this compare to SCORM Cloud?
See the full comparison. Short version: we're cheaper across most realistic usage profiles, and we don't charge overages when registrations spike.
Try it before you decide
Free tier, no credit card, no expiry. Upgrade when you outgrow it.
